Made for Client — Women’s Suit

Tailoring reimagined with formal polish, quiet glamour and everyday versatility.

Brief

After selecting the Nyonya Kebaya Set, Sharon noticed a suit design that felt right for her upcoming board meeting and conference. She was looking for a made-to-measure suit that could carry professional presence, while still feeling distinctive, personal and versatile beyond one occasion.

During the fabric discussion, Sharon was clear that she wanted the suit made in 100% merino wool. As we explored the colour direction, we both pointed towards the same cloth: a white pinstripe and blue check. It was a quiet moment of alignment, confirming the shared design language between client and atelier.

Solution

Adam proposed a suit design inspired by the language of a male tuxedo, then reimagined for a modern woman’s wardrobe. The jacket was developed with a high front, low back and single vent, giving the piece movement, character and a subtle sense of drama without making it feel like a traditional tuxedo.

The result is a suit that balances glamour, formality, intelligence and ease. It can be worn for board meetings and conferences, yet styled separately throughout the week with pieces already in Sharon’s wardrobe.

The final suit restored coherence through versatility — a made-to-measure set designed not only for one occasion, but as a seven-day tailoring piece with presence, polish and quiet confidence.
